BASE GALLERY HAKATA is thrilled to present Nocturne, a captivating solo exhibition by Katsuhito Nishikawa. Through the delicate layering of acrylic glass, Nishikawa masterfully weaves a symphony of colors and shadows, gently transforming our perception of space. This ethereal experience evokes the shifting tones and musical lyricism reminiscent of Whistler’s iconic Nocturne series, where color and sound dance together in harmony.
Among the featured works, we are proud to showcase Physalis, a stunning glass piece originally displayed in Nishikawa’s solo exhibition “Serenity in Stillness” at the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art. This work, along with the rest of the collection, invites you to step into a world of quiet beauty and introspective artistry.
We warmly invite you to immerse yourself in this unique experience, where light, color, and form come together to create a truly unforgettable journey.
